Here... I'll write it out...

The 2014 NBA Salary Cap is set at $63,200,000

Here are our current salaries...

Al Jefferson: $13,500,000

Gerald Henderson: $6,000,000

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: $5,016,960

Bismack Biyombo: $4,086,453

Cody Zeller: $4,030,560

Gary Neal: $3,250,000

Kemba Walker: $3,452,183

Noah Vonleh (projected): $2,450,580

P.J. Hairston (projected): 931,040

Jeffrey Taylor: $915,243

Total: $43,633,019

Salary Cap - Total Salary = $19,566,981

Math is fun...

Clifford said we would go into the season with 14 on the roster, my guess is we'll eventually hit 15 and Bachynski will be the 15th.

So...

Parsons, Hayward, Stephenson: 11 mil

McRoberts: 4.5 mil

Back Up Point Guard: 3 mil

Third String Point Guard: 1 mil

Eventual 15th roster spot: 450K

That puts us right at the cap, pretty much dead even.

That horrible Henderson contract really hurts. I'd love to get him traded for something. I don't care what it is either, even though a back-up small forward would be nice. I would be fine revisiting talks with the Clippers surrounding Henderson for Dudley and Bullock.

Just a mock roster...

PG: Kemba Walker, Mo Williams, Jimmer Fredette

SG: Lance Stephenson, P.J. Hairston, Gary Neal

SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, *back up*, Jeff Taylor

PF: Josh McRoberts, Noah Vonleh

C: Al Jefferson, Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, Jordan Bachynski

I think that is a reasonable roster and a potential 5th seed.

I hope we go after Bledsoe. He would make our offense scary!

Could live with a vet Hinrich. And, a BIG hell no to Sessions.

whats your beef with sessions? i thought he was pretty solid for the hornets before they traded him last year, and if we got him for $3m last year i would imagine him being a solid backup to kemba?

i also think that deonte burton would be a really solid third pg for next year, if the wizards dont sign him after the summer league (ive liked him ever since he was drafted in the mock draft and i had a look at his play through college)... but maybe he's a rookie too many for the hornets this year!

Sessions was pretty bad

The only people that are reporting $14 are our beat writers who obviously struggle with simple math.

Every website is reporting 20 mil... spotrac, hoopshype salaries, ESPN etc...

I don't know how he does his math but it's dead wrong because rookies don't count $9 mil against the cap.

We also have a roughly $2 million cap hold because of McRoberts opting out. It will be there until he resigns either here or elsewhere.

I do not believe Cho when he said that this FA class of PGs is "deep". Sure, it's deep of quantity, not quality point guards. PG is our weakest position atm. Some like myself could make and have made the case that Kemba is not a legit starting PG. And, now we have only Kemba at that position. Didnt even draft a PG too last night or at least keep it.

I would love to get my hands on Lowry, but too bad he'll stay in Toronto or move to Miami. If I'm Cho, I would be calling Eric Bledsoe's agent already. Bledsoe will def bring the heat on Kemba. I wouldn't throw a max contract, but def a good one. Pheonix drafted Ennis and should make a run at Gasol. Dont think Bledose will be back in Pheonix. Kemba and Bledsoe + maybe Lance would make a scary back court for defenses.

I wouldn't want to touch one of these guys: Sessions, Bayless, Chalmers, Collison, Augustin, Ridnour, etc.

Additions of Bledsoe and Lance would easily make us TOP3 in the East! And they both play defense.

Love the idea of Lance playing the 2 for us, but I don't think Bledsoe is really an option of playing beside Kemba.  I don't think that'd work great.
