The Big Picture

I hope we go after Bledsoe. He would make our offense scary!

Could live with a vet Hinrich. And, a BIG hell no to Sessions.

We need a 3rd PG.. He'd be good to come in and just be a leader if anything.

Also want Vince Carter to come in and help mold Hairston and possibly give MKG some pointers

Who would you rather give that contract to then?

Pretty easy decision for me.

I'm assuming you mean the big player we will be signing this year.. I'd take anyone who won't be playing a backup role.

With about 21 -24 million in cap space I dont see us chasing a LeBron or Melo type of player. We are looking to sign about 3 more players and we will want to leave enough room to resign Walker, Big Al, and maybe Biz next year. Assuming we sign McRoberts for 4 million that leaves us with about 20 million. Curtis Polk has preched about flexibility to where Jordan has a firm grasp of the concept. Take out 10 million for a buffer and we have about 10 million to split between the final two positions.

If we land Lance Stevenson for 8 million we have 2 million left for a 3rd PG.

I can live with that. And it would be a fun team to watch.

We really need to get Henderson off the books. We could essentially afford both Parsons (if Houston doesn't match) and Stephenson if we dropped Henderson and his $6 mil.

- Give Henderson away.

- Sign Stephenson at $8 mil

- Parsons at $12 mil

- Sessions at $3 mil (he wants to be back here so he'd probably be the cheapest option)

- McRoberts at $4 mil (we can go into to cap to re-sign him)

- Re-sign Pargo and Tolliver at vet min (we can go into the cap to re-sign them as well)

That puts us $5 mil over but not even close to the luxury tax.

PG: Walker, Sessions, Pargo

SG: Stephenson, Hairston, Neal

SF: Parsons, Kidd-Gilchrist, Taylor

PF: McRoberts, Vonleh, Tolliver

C: Jefferson, Zeller, Biyombo

Win Championships... not 1, not 2, not 3...

CP8789,

If you go that route then what are you going to do next year with Kemba, Biz, and potentially Al?

You re-sign them (except for Biz).

The cap number is supposed to jump up to $66.5 mil next year and the luxury tax is supposed to jump up to $80 mil.

With the jump, that roster is still under the luxury tax.

I know this is new to fans but this is what the big market teams do and this is how they compete. Finally our billionaire owner realized you have to spend money to compete.

What's with all this 20-21 million mess? Everyone is reporting the Hornets have 14 million right now after the rookies.

Sent from my iPad using CarolinaHuddle

The only people that are reporting $14 are our beat writers who obviously struggle with simple math.

Every website is reporting 20 mil... spotrac, hoopshype salaries, ESPN etc...

I don't know how he does his math but it's dead wrong because rookies don't count $9 mil against the cap.
