All Hail Cho The Great and MJ The Magnificent

The reason they didn't want him was because they didn't want to pay anyone with that pick. They took a foreign player to save them money to go after Melo. Cho knew they would take a foreigner so there was no way Pj would go to them.

By taking a foreigner, they can 'stash' him away for the future while he finished his contract in Europe. He just used smarts to dictate exactly what they would do.

Kinda what i was getting at. Not gonna take a day one NBA player while they have harden and are trying to obtain melo. As you said. Great move on Cho's part.

I believe the only thing MJ is doing is staying out of Cho's way last night,..... Which was the right thing to do. Cho has proven he knows what to do and MJ had proven in prior drafts that he does not.

MJ is going exactly what a good owner should do. Hire god and talented people ....and then letting them do their job.

He should use his name and connections to help lure FA's. But, that is it.

I'm with you. When you hire god and surround him with talent, you just need to let him do his job ;)

With the draft and the upcoming free agency, the Hornets now are starting to have depth and flexibility. We now have various possibilities with our line-ups.

One lineup I really want to see for some reason is this defensive line-up. Of course this is not my choice bc Big Al isn't in but I would be interested to see how the other team scores.

PG: Kemba

SG: Jeff Taylor

SF: MKG

PF: Vonleh

C: Biz

* Also my FA signings would make this lineup even better and more balanced.

PG: Livingston

SG: Lance Stephenson (who I didn't want but am leaning towards again)

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
