No. 26 Pick: P.J. Hairston

Recommended Posts

Our beloved MJ lived a hard party life while he was the greatest player on the planet.

Not worried about a draft party as long as he takes his job seriously.

Guess I just have a hard time trusting him since he's already burned one team I cheer for. The fact that he didn't have enough common sense to make the right decision after getting in trouble makes me wonder if he's capable of making the correct decision.

Cam is all about his career and being the best - not being the center of attention at a club. PJ could learn a thing from him.

I think PJ Hairston's ceiling is how high he wants to go.. He has something not many have, I don't know how to describe it. When he seriously cut his finger in the NCAA tournament I thought UNC was done. He went out there with all those bandages on his hand and knocked down three after three after three, nothing could shake him.

I've always looked at him as a JR Smith type player...after him mentioning today that he models his game after James harden, I can see PJ getting to that level.

PJ does not have near the handle of Harden. But atleast he thinks / aspires big lol

Not sure who I would compare PJ to atm.

Let me tell you PJ was a fugin steal at 26. CHO-daddy put us in a no lose situation here. If he works out great, if he doesn't, we get a second round draft position in 2019 to replace him. No foul.

As far as the party...get over it. He had a party in a safe location. He wasn't drinking and driving.

At 9, this would be a good pick based on talent alone, but character matters, so it would be a dumb pick to risk the high pick on someone with his baggage.  Money has a way of revealing who people really are, so those of you saying he will be fine etc. are not familiar with NBA history.  I hope the MJ influence will be enough--the Hornets must think so.  He is what they need and he was not a huge risk at 26.

At 26 I would have picked him.  His talent is there, but you better develop the whole person or you will be disappointed.  I think we are going to be happy with him, but I am nervous about what $$ will do to him.

Exactly. But, I think his passing game is a bit better than Kemba.

I would've traded Kemba to Miami instead. You know what you have in Kemba already. At least, Shabazz gives you some upside, maybe.

Yes in Kemba we have a leader a all out dog willing to do anything (scoring, passing, Defense, and rebounding) to win. Plus a clutch shot maker unstoppable on a fast break and very durable. Pretty much a top 10 PG in the league. Yes that's what we have in Kemba. And you're wanting to trade that for a unknown commodity.

Lol!!!

Quit the Top10 crap. It's getting old and not going anywhere. Only you believe so. Get off whatever drug you're on.
