First Job Interview (Post College)

Went really well! Went in at 130 and just got out. Sat down with the news director and chief editor and went over my resume. Even though I have no experience they both really liked me. They liked the work I did on my final project as well. After that they gave me a tour of the station and I met all of the anchors. Then I sat down at a desk with the chief editor for about 5 hours and we did the news. I was cutting and editing raw footage and sending it to ABC New York. It was very overwhelming but I thought I handled it well. Then the chief editor sat me down with the other editors and we bullshitted for a while. They thought it was cool I was a Panthers fan. They saw my keep pounding bracelet. Then I sat down alone with the chief editor for about a half an hour and we just talked. He said he still needed to go over some things and that I'm a project. I would need 3 weeks training but he liked me. So I hope I hear back because things seemed like they went well!

That's fantastic! It sounds like you made quite the impression on them. It also good that you got the grand tour and met everyone. A lot of times, your personality, professionalism, and your cohesion with others can make you the front runner, even if someone else may have more work experience.

Didn't get it guys. They decided to go with a woman who had experience but I think there may have been some office politics behind that decision as well... Gotta keep grinding.

Obviously you didn't show enough skin in the interview.  Didn't we talk about that?

Dude, it wasn't meant to be...  you'll find something that's perfect before too long.
