Dude, I'm Mexican and I believe we deserved to lose. Yeah, Robben flopped at the end but we played defense and tried to hold on the entire second half. So much for all that 'fearless' poo Herrera was preaching.

I'm cheering for Germany and France outside US. Many Arsenal players in those 2 teams.

That is what I like to hear...well except the French part.

Anyway, if I were to rank them on rooting interest before the Ro16 it would have gone

1 USA

1A Germany

3-6 Swiss/Dutch/Belgium/Costa Rica

7 Chile

8-9 Algeria/Nigeria

10 Uruguay

11 Colombia

12-15 France/Greece/Mexico/Argentina

16 Brazil

I didn't watch the entire game but it was disappointing to see the Mexicans boot it up field and stay on defense. They need to pass better, keep possession, and build up attacks. They played so well against Brazil and play conservative vs. the Dutch? The problem with playing defense is eventually you make a mistake. The heat and humidity is making guys do stupid things. I've seen so many guys loafing around exhausted with the game on the line. Not just today but all tournament.

The penalty was very disappointing. Clear flop. But it's typical Rafa Marquez. He's been imploding for as long as I can remember. There is no reason to stick your foot in there. Shame on him for thinking anything else could have happened. But the flopping culture won a great victory today. Floppers all over the world are validated in their tactics.
