Well, this blew up quickly.

I blame Cameron for the Porto draw more than any other player out there. It was inexcusable to lose his marked man in the final 15 seconds of the game.

Bradley needs to get his head on straight, and recover from the jet lag. But he still is one of our better players that is not living up to his expectations so far. I'm hoping getting Jozy back will help out, as he doesn't seem on the same page as anyone else, and that might be a huge factor why.

Like others have said, Portugal draw was a team effort not any one guy. Bradley had a critical error, but Beasley could have taken the foul on Ronaldo, Omar could have not been 30 yards upfield, Cameron could have been four yards from the goal instead of 10 etc etc.

Agreed, but that's why I said "more than any other player." As an ex-CB, I play close attention to the back line, and it irks me he lost his guy. Everyone was to blame for giving up the win, but to me, he's the most culpable.

Would agree with that statement. Losing his marking is inexcusable.

I'm of the opinion that the blame falls a little more on Bradley for that goal. His job was pretty simple, and he botched it. A little possession and flick on to the corner ends the match. Instead, he gives away possession and puts Ronaldo in counter-attack mode. So, the defenders are forced to try to both watch Ronaldo (who can easily beat a defender or two) and mark a man darting in from the field. Could/should Cameron have defended better? Absolutely. It was a hell of a cross from Ronaldo though.

To me, a turnover is a turnover. They are all the same, Portugal could have countered a turnover in the 70th minute or the 6th minute. Losing possession is part of the game, you are still expected to defend. I think people are making too much of it because of the timing. He was in a difficult spot, surrounded by three defenders.

I think people are focusing too much on Bradley's errors. He's done a ton of work on defense. He makes some classy passes and never stops running. Nobody rips Jermaine for his turnovers because Bradley covers for him.

I've seen a lot of people rip Jones. As they should.

Timing is huge. Up a goal with less than a minute to go, you expect your big players to play big. Those are tough spots and a guy with nearly 100 caps needs to make a better play there. The defenders should have defended, but Bradley should have done much better.

Too bad you can't tell if you're delusional or not.

Oh wait, yes we can. Alexi buried Bradley in the post-game report.

Good for Alexi, he also thinks Donavan should have made the squad and that Argentina is Messi and a bunch of scrubs.

Go back to your hole, troll.

Or at least if you're going to provide critics may least know something about the players game whom you are talking about.

Bradley is a CDM who was moved to CAM because he is the best facilitator and field general on the roster. He's not a possession player as most CDM's aren't because their primary goal is to be a link between the defense and midfield, not a possession player that holds the ball so others can join the attack.

The U.S. is working with what they have and they're doing a good job with it.

By the way just for kicks who are you going to put at CAM if you move Bradley back to his natural CDM position?
