Isportsweb: Raiders need to trade Moore

top dawg

Guess who was mentioned as the example for a trade partner? Easy answer, huh? Well just because an answer is easy doesn't mean it's wrong. Like Joe Horning suggested, it makes "perfect" sense.

Given his production and speed, he would make a nice trade target for a receiver needy team. Someone like the Carolina Panthers, who have nothing but a raw rookie, aging slot receivers, and untested practice squad to throw to, Moore is a perfect option.

A 6th could be a pittance to pay for this Guy. I would love to get him before the Browns or the Falcons. Proehl would probably help Denarius Moore play with consistency and unleash his potential.

It just makes too much sense I guess.

BTW, creating a thread with a phone for the first time is...interesting.

We'd only have him for this year, and frankly it wouldn't be worth it to pay his salary. He's not a missing piece to the puzzle, and it's very possible he wouldn't even be a starter for us. Moore is an okay receiver but he dropped the ball as much or more than LaFell, which everyone here hated. Not worth a draft pick, even a 7th in my opinion. He had opportunities to put up huge stats in garbage time because Oakland was down so much in so many games, yet he couldn't even do that...

You have a point, but Moore had at least two coaches, OCs, and probably at least four or five fair to crappy QBs since he has been in the league. Yes, he has had problems with consistency and focus at times, but unlike LaFell, Moore has shown legitimate flashes and play making ability. Moreover, we do need a speed receiver because Underwood is apparently underwhelming so far and has never really been a play maker.

I bet if Moore hits the market, some team is going to jump at the chance to get him, especially with Moore having great potential at a bargain price.

Didn't our last trade with them result in a certain sixth round draft pick in 2010 that we used to get a sea monster?

No, it resulted in the shipping off of an unfocused RB (Goodson) for a hulking LT (Campbell) who never saw the field.

Let it be known that MHS gave you your 2000th pie.  (I read your profile info--hats off, sir).
