he was 3rd in power to tex schramm and tom landry during the cowboys' first 30 years. scouted both pro and college players.

how do people not know who gil brandt is

Nah I'm not sure who any of those guys are and the first 30 years of cowboys was way before my time being that I was born in the ninetys not a kid but not old...and he is jus running off of what everyone else is saying so by saying I don't agree becuz he isn't saying something good is not correct...I see the holes but I jus don't understand why they discount the number 2 ranked defense and the best dline in all of football...

Keep in mind some of the people you're addressing likely have no idea who Tom Landry and Tex Schramm are either

Some of these kids on here judge the quality of an NFL writer not by his career, credentials or qualifications, but by whether or not he says good things about us.

Heck, I remember people talking about how great Brandt was when he was talking up Cam Newton in the draft, and then later on when he had a negative comment some of the same people talking like he was some know nothing they'd never heard of

Believe it or not, it actually is possible to have a negative opinion about the Panthers and still be a good writer.

I have no problem with negative criticism but if they must state weakness then why not credit strengths...defense wins championships and our d is tops in the league not to mention we have the best young qb in the league...how can they seriously say becuz we refurbished our receiving core with similar talent at worst and lost gross that we go from top of the food chain to last in the division it's ludicrous to make that assumption...the only real problem is the tackle position and cam doesn't struggle with outside pressure in which he can avoid cam struggles when d tackles push him out of the pocket early into the d ends...and even if our tackles can play half way decent we can win 10 games and that's not homerism it's sheer talent on the roster...we score 3 tds or 2 and a fg we win cuz the other team isn't getting more than 2, am I wrong?

Because offensive line questions are big questions, especially at left tackle.

I have no issue with people doubting us, and definitely no issue with a guy like Gil Brandt.

You wanna refute doubters, don't do it with words.

Prove 'em wrong.

Yeah you know since I play for the carolina panthers I can prove them wrong on the field... One position does not dictate a season fail is all that I'm saying if bell or chandler grade out negative all year but don't allow cam to get mauled everytime he drops back we will be fine...left tackle is important but jus becuz we lose and all pro and replace with a sub par until the question is answered doesn't mean we're going from 12 wins to 4 with what we have on the roster...football is a team sport and who knows if bell and chandler come out with a chip on their shoulder they may play par and do enough for us to maintain what we accomplished last year...a critic is a critic, they post the negatives that they think will ruin us, and I post the positives and the reasons why it won't...top ten running game, top ten qb(arguably better)top 3 defense that in itself is enough to win eight games if they come with the fire they did last year who knows the sky is the limit and every team has weaknesses...so who's to say who will drop off, it's just based on opinion regardless of background and accomplishments

I think you're taking this a little too seriously.

I have plenty of positive feelings about the team this year, but I have no problem acknowledging that if we get great play out of our tackles, receivers and, for that matter, our secondary, most people will consider it a surprise.

And so what?  Every year people predict who'll be good and who won't, and every year they're mostly wrong.

No I'm not to serious but may seem that way hence the name DIE hard panther lol...I

Prefer passionate other than to serious...I just disagree period, and I back it up with the obvious strengths as they back themselves with our

Obvious weakness...there statement is no different than our own assessment it's jus POV, and most view this franchise negatively regardless of our improvements...

It is just POV, and will be proven right or wrong on the field.

Till then...
