Gil Brandt names six teams that could 'take a step back' this season

I don't get the Munnerlyn hate. He's short; so is the best player we've ever had. Big whoop. He was horrible in 2011, but was pretty valuable in the two seasons after that. He was the one player you could count on to respond (on the field) to this so-called bulletin board material.

Don't get confused I love him as a player. I just joke on his height the same way I would joke on Benjamin's height or hand size,

Very few guys from the 2013 team I was glad to see go.

Capt. has some fire... but, for the most part (like the rest of the secondary) he made the most of what he was given with the front 7. He had his moments of WTF as well.

Just a new direction for the Panthers with tall players in the secondary.  His leadership helped last season I guess. but before that it didn't do much. (IMO)

Oh well... move'n on. :D

He is not saying anything different that what has said/been complained about here X1000.

Can you recall free agency?  Smith being dropped? No tackles in the draft?  All Brandt has to do is look at threads on the Huddle for his inspiration.

Lost our top four recievers? Should have said that we lost four recievers whose production could be easily replaced. That would have been an accurate statement. And yes Hardy is crazy...he got that correct

Yeah man I hated seeing Mitchell, Mikell, Flo, Captain, Ginn, Smitty, Gross, Wharton, Senn and hell... even Hixon go.  Wish we could've kept all of them.

So yeah... pretty much everybody except LaFell.

Anything less than 12 wins would be considered a step back, no? So if we go 9-7, 10-6, 11-5, we are taking a step back. It's too fuging easy for these analysts nowadays. Just eat a bunch Applebee's and poo out the same smelly turd.

Wasn't this the same article published 2 weeks ago or just identical?

There was a 'guy with a website' article a little while back.

Brandt is one of the more highly respected NFL writers out there, and he could legitimately be right.

Naturally, I hope he isn't.

(at least not about us; the other five?  no problem)
