NBA Offseason Trade/Free Agency Thread

Jazz east doesn't matter. You take the best pieces of one team and add it to a playoff team and it could be something special. While I do agree this lineup won't happen, I do say it would be a great scenario going forward. Bottom line, this is a great mock and this would be the best offseason of all nba teams if it came to fruition. We'd have a solid starting lineup plus tremendous bench depth

What do the point guard people have against Kemba? If you get rid of him, it's for a guy like Steph Curry, not Trey freaking Burke.

I get that the guy is not a CP3 or a Westbrook but enough with hating on him. He came in amidst the tearing down of the franchise and the only scorer he's had to pass to in his entire time here is al Jefferson. His backcourt partners have been in no particular order: Gerald henderson, Gary Neal, occasionally Ramon Sessions, Matt Carroll, Chris Douglas Roberts, etc.

Let's give the guy something to work with before we go in a completely different direction.

im completely for keeping faith with kemba as our starting pg and signing him to 4 year extension, but if we were to trade him away for another pg to go in another direction i would be putting a call into the thunder and seeing what it would take to get reggie jackson - i can see him making a similar impact as bledsoe when being given the starting pg role (id still prefer to keep kemba though!)

The Magic are really putting all that cap space they freed up to good use.....

wow! that ones a shocker! teams are really throwing alot of money at mediocre players. might be better to keep the cap space free for next summer when fewer tams have big money to chuck at players and pick up a bargain

Frye is an upgrade on what they have at PF, but it is a strange move for a team that looked to be heading towards another season or tanking. Perhaps they think they can make a push for the 8th seed? Or maybe they want to replicate the Kings model of signing expensive free agents that aren't difference makers to create a disjointed roster?
