Mitch McGary Theory

A year ago, Michigan forward Mitch McGary might have been in better position to enter the NBA. Following the Wolverine’s impressive run to the championship game in the NCAA tournament, McGary’s stock was at a high — in a weak class, some saw him as a potential lottery pick. Now, he will not be a lottery pick. But a source told Sporting News that he is a near-certainty to be a first-round pick, and that he, “has been all but assured,” that a team in the 20s will grab him if he is there, barrring a trade or an unlikely slip by a high-ranking propsect. It has been rumored that the team is either Oklahoma City, which has picks Nos. 21 and 29, or Charlotte, which holds No. 24.

He only worked out for the Bucks though, not Charlotte. This "rumor" makes no sense.

Saw a few things yesterday that he worked out for the Hornets. I could be wrong though I guess.

Just draft good players regardless of position. Just because we draft a player doesn't mean we are giving up on players at the same position.

If someone gets their feelings hurt for getting drafted over they are pussies.

BPA!!!!!

We sucked in the draft for years bc we draft for needs. It's time to just draft BPA!

This isn't football you only have 13 spots available. Spending assets on the same positions over and over again is a direct reflection on your poor decision making.

McGary himself says he's at about 80%. I'm still fine with drafting him as long as we don't have to pay for a failed physical. For all we know he stopped the workouts bc he didn't think his back would handle it after the first workout. It's a high risk potentially high reward pick.

I'm sure the teams have a better grasp of the guy bc at this point I give up. Let the chips fall where they may in a few hours.

So if Joel Embiid or Marcus Smart falls to #9 it would be a poor decision to draft them, because we have Kemba and Al?  lol
