The Year 2023

The year is 2023. Cam Newton has just finished his 12th year in the NFL. Keeping up his statistical averages he would have 45196 career passing yards putting him 10th in all-time passing yard. He would have 8128 rushing yards, literally obliterating the all time QB rushing yards record by 3000+ yards. 368 Touchdowns also accompany him. If by chance he keeps up these averages and has a 15 year career he would statistically be the most successful QB in NFL history.

 

Point of this thread? None besides our QB is one bad ass dude.

Cams rushing yards will probably decline gradually every year going forward.

It's crazy that only 3 years in he's already within swinging distance of the career rushing TD record for a QB.  He's like 15 away from the #1 spot... which he will undoubtedly own by the time his career is over.

I see him being a running threat until he's at least 32 or so. His floor scrambling ability will be like Ben Roethlisberger. By then he'll be so much more advanced as a passer it won't matter. And he'll always be money on 3rd and short.

 

 

Cam's so big and strong he'll be able to play for a long time. He'll have a cannon arm until he's 40. If he still wants to play by then.
