Kyle Orton gets booed by Denver Fans

"Lame to the Max"? Really?

Now let me see...are you questioning my use of a dorky billion year old valley girl speak phrase or are you asking me if I was serious in thinking it was lame? Responses to each in order:

a) What can I say? I was a teenager in the 80s.

B) Yes I am serious. I think fans have the right to boo if they want, but I think it's kind of stupid to boo (in TC especially) if it's just a guy effing up a play or two. If I am at a game and someone on the team is doing something bad, I usually just groan and/or say a really loud cuss word (or two, or three or a dozen) about what a crappy play that was. I'm a lover, not a booer. :)

I booed for the very first time in 2007. David Carr against New Orleans at home. Most disgusting performance. :gnorsi:

I had never booed before then. I hope to never have to do it again. 99.99% of the time it's a string of expletives and wanting to throw something.

I don't think he is or will be an elite QB either.

I do think he will be good enough to run JM's O pretty well though. And he will handle the off the field part of being a QB well. IMO that's all a team needs.

JM values different things in a QB than Angelo does obviously.

Yes but how long before the fans and the Broncos receivers start getting upset with him because KO missed a wide open Marshall or Royal on several occasions, just sayin.

I hear ya. Much as I hated Carr though, I still don't think I could have booed. I guess if I really felt a guy wasn't trying his best or the team wasn't maybe I could. I don't know.

But doesn't a bad play automatically mean you aren't trying your best?

;)

Fans will get on him long before teammates will if he is a great teammate, IMO. Fans in general overreact, it's just the nature of things. If it's constant and ongoing then there may be problems. He hasn't had great accuracy in his short career but he seemed to be playing pretty well last year (from what I saw, admitting I didn't watch a whole bunch of Bears games) before his ankle got busted up. That seemed to affect his game a bit. JM is pretty good at playing to the strengths of his players, so that should help Orton.

It's either that or that you are deliberately throwing the game because you are a mercenary SOB who doesn't care! :P
