Hornets willing to part with #9 for Afflalo

The Magic could do the deal. It would give them three picks to add talent to their roster. At #4 they could go for Embiid or Vonleh if Parker/Wiggins/Exum are off the board. The #9 pick could let them draft a PG like Elfrid Payton. And then they could use the #24 to add some firepower for the bench like TJ Warren. Then Henderson gives them a good back up SG/sixth man.

Payton (#9) / Nelson

Oladipo / Henderson

Harkless / Warren (#24)

Vonleh (#4) or Vucevic / Harris

Vucevic or Embiid (#4) / O'Quinn

It would give them a talented line up with two veterans to help from the bench. It would also give them the chance to package the #4 and #9 to move up to the first selection if they really want Wiggins or Parker. Then they can add a role player with #24.

Good ideas.  Still don't see it happening.

I don't think Kemba is getting 10-12. He's more in the range of 8-10. If he wants more, then see ya.

Before last season SI had him rated 11th among PG's in a tie for 10th with Irving. He's going to get a top level PG type contract in the 10-12+ range.

MKG was highly touted ... he was considered the most complete player in the draft. No one expected his jump shot to BECOME, yes BECOME... as broken as it did.

MKG was who I wanted. You know that. We all knew he needed work on his shooting, but we also didnt know his form was that bad.

I knew it and cursed Chad Ford for goading Charlotteans into jumping on the MKG bandwagon (just like he's doing with McDermott now), which I never did.

Like I've said before, MKG wouldn't be in Charlotte right now if Kendall Marshall hadn't injured his wrist. MKG being drafted 2nd was all about Kentucky winning the NCAA Championship, which would not have happened if UNC had its point guard. I don't know anyone who didn't already know MKG's jump shot was busted, but most people were willing to believe that it could get better because they were so infatuated with him because of Kentucky's success.

His shot wasn't nearly as broken in college as it is now (there's highlights on YouTube). In college his shooting stroke was one motion, now it's two separate motions... too many moving parts.

MKG needs to play to develop because he's a fragile guy. Have you heard him in interviews? He lacks a lot of confidence and confidence is built in games, not in practice.

Not to mention, MKG still brings imports aspects to the game (defense, hustle, athleticism, can get to the rim) that Zeller currently does not being to the game right now. Oh and one is in his third year and the other is in his second year. If you're bringing the second overall pick off the bench in his third year you are accepting the fact that he is a bust.... I'm not ready to do that.

He's not lacking confident. We all know he has a speech impediment and not comfortable talking in public.

Then please shoot the person giving him that contract and everyone else who agrees it's a good deal.

Hell no, not the number 9. You want a player with potential that can be with the team for a while and there's a ton of those players in this draft.

I love AA but a 30 yr old SG that has maxed out on potential isn't worth the 9 in the draft. He'd make our team better for a couple years but he's also way more expensive.
