yeah but if your getting a lot of sacks your probably getting a lot of hurries so whateves next question.

ahh, but danielson, hurries are the more relevant stat..

you were right earlier..leading to int's...

sacks are sexy..hurries are not..

We've had cover 2 in the playbook for years. Nothing new here other than a focus on speed "may" make it more effective and it "may" become a bigger part of the game plan.

As for the NFC South, the staffs of both the Saints and Falcons have burned the candle at both ends scheming to beat the cover two and both have the weapons to do it. The cover 2 is hardly a panacea for the sins of our defense last year.

I think the version of "cover 2" we will see will be more beneficial with the zone aspect so that Brees (:)) and his short routes along with TE's may be covered better on the short routes since the cb's and linebackers will be in better position to break up passes..

this has been a major problem in the past that the cover 3 has left huge holes in the middle and on short routes...

Let's hope anyhow... (and yes, it's all about breesus) :rolleyes:

actually, I was more impressed by my use of the word "panacea" teach. I never get to use that word enough. Plus the religious connotations of the word "sin" added a pronounced, "don't fug with me" 'tude to the post.
