I am stuck at a location with no TV for a few weeks though :(

 

Defiance, Graceland, The Bridge, and a few others of my absolute favorites started right as I was leaving.

Same here. Got about 2/3 way thru the first episode and realized I didn't care. Might try it again, but it's way down my watch list now.

 

Since someone brought up Falling Skies....I'm currently watching the 2nd season...but does the entire former history teacher to command of survivors go away? Bringing up historical references to parallel each episode or story arcs sounded great in the pilot, but it seems to have just disappeared.

Id rather have another stargate series

For those of you who didn't watch the first season all the way thorough, it is a VERY good series.

It also approaches issue like racism, cultural acceptance, and even hints at gun control issues.

The twists are very devious, and the personalities of certain characters really make the show interesting.

There is a whole overcast of mystery too. There is a specific relic everyone seems to be desperately seeking, but it is only shown briefly a few times and it's full powers have not been exposed.

For a summer series I like the show. The story can be a little all over the place at times because they have so many characters with so many plots all going at once.
