The Worst Offense in the NFL

Well we without a doubt have the worst OT's in the league and our guards are young and unproven. Kahlil is a stud but he is one guy out of 5. I can't really say I blame them for calling us the worst O-line in the league on paper. Hopefully we play above that level.

I dont understand how one could not see the changes made and legitimately think the offense looks worse on paper. We completely renovated a lackluster receiver group. We got help at TE. We habe a full and healthy backfield. We strenghthened the interrior of the line. We got a well respected offensive mind to join the staff as well. We just need someone to fill in for Gross. That is thr only downgrade.

I stay on bleacher for this reason...made a name just to bash any and everyone who wants to bash the panthers with bias contradictory statements...the people on there have a sever hatred for cam(including the writers) and they never cease to amaze me with their ignorance...so since their soul objective is to bash the panthers and talk about how wonderful teams like Denver, NE, and SF are, my soul objective is to bash any and every doubter I see (fair weather panther fans included) and bring them down a level with real information...can't stand it dude they refuse to give credit to our squad and when they do it's usually to the front seven on d and that's becuz that can't be denies with 60 sacks registered...lol and they still think luke is overrated jus the way they feel about cam... But I will continue to back my team and as long as I'm alive I will continue to thrash their DA so called sports analyst who jerk off to stats and never seem to entertain that football is a team sport and sometimes your still great with sub par stats..

My

Rant

Is now

OVER !!effing bleacher report!!!

I find most fans, bloggers, and especially writers know very little about the Panthers, and write stuff that has nothing to do with the actual team. They just don't follow the Panthers well enough to really know what's happening.

Any Panther fan who watched the team last year, knew the receiving corps and OL wasn't much to write home about to begin with. So now, because the Panthers lose Gross (albeit a long time top caliber LG) and Smitty and the rest of the receiving corps, they now feel the Panthers are doomed. No so fast.

As long as the Panthers have Cam out there, and any decent set of receivers, along with last years defense, the Panthers will be an ominous threat in the league. And if their receivers are a bit of an improvement over last year (which many of us, think they will be), and the OL can scheme a bit better (particularly on longer passing situations, to make up for their deficiencies), the team and offense, is going to surprise a lot of the so called "doubter/experts" out there. Lol

Unfortunately, nothing new.

While I am not sure I would rank us last on both lists there is certainly a legitimate argument to be made that either or both groups is at the bottom of the league.  Now if they had us last for QB or TE then I would take issue.

This is the difference between someone knowing, following, and (even) believing in the team, as opposed to most bloggers, critics, and national journalist, who have NO IDEA what their talking about pertaining to Panther games, coaches, players, management, and off season moves/improvements.

We're easy pickins. They just look at what we lost (although I think they way overrated our WR's) and it was easy to put us down for a rebuilding year. Last year this time we were picked to have another mediocre season and Rivera was gonna get fired. Oops. Maybe we'll cooperate better with the doom and gloom predictions this year. I prefer to think it'll be another oops year.

Fans need to keep this in mind..

We are a defensive team, at least that was our game plan last year. We play GREAT defense, and our offense had to hold on. The stats don't show it, but we tried to be efficient, mocve the ball, and **eat clock.

We are trying to improve this year, and the additions we made I believe will boost this offense immensly. As fans, we gotta face it. This team is built around defense nd our offense will compliment it. Like I said, Our offense's goal is to be efficient, sustain drives, and score TDs.

Last season, we didn't have the personel really do do any of those things. Our interior O-line was beat up, Our recievers were inconsistent in their routes, and routenly dropped the ball. This season, we brought in some Vets that showcase what we wana do on offense. Avant cotchery are route beasts.. very consistent and can catch the ball. Cam will have those two security blankets to throw two when he is under pressure and he can just throw it where where they are supposed to be.

We all know what KB can bring to the table right off the bat. Redzone alone will help. Our interior O-line could be very good! amini and Turner, with our probowl center and our interior rungame could come roaring back.

I have no doubt that our offense will be better. Our personel now fits what we wanted to do on offense much better than last year.

oh yeah, stats asside, Our O came through when it mattered and won us multiple games in late 4th Q.

Another example of people who are stupid.

They read, "Panthers lose entire WR corps.  Gross retires, Bell to take over."

They think, "Dang. They are gonna suck."

What insiders know that they don't realize:

Our WR corps was one of the worst in the NFL last year.  Our best WR was short, slowing, a bit of a cancer at times, and was due a bunch of $$$ if we kept him.  The others were not average.  How do you replace that?  Benji, Cotch, Avant, and Underwood should be able to do it.

The OL upgraded at LG, RG, and probably RT.  We may struggle a bit at LT, but note the emphasis we are placing on TEs and RBs that can block.

TE has a developing weapon, a new blocker, and a vet added to the roster.

Stewart should be back and healthy.  I really like the new kid from Stanford.  Gaffney will play more than people realize.

Cam will be better.

How many of you can name the personnel groups from another team without looking them up?

I'm asking because I sure can't, but when I do a little research I come up with some other fairly underwhelming groups.

STL: Givens, Quick, Pettis, Austin, Bailey

NYJ: Decker, Hill, Ford, Kerley

That's just the first two teams that came to mind. I didn't even get to take a shot at JAX and their fresh faced WR room

Great post and assessment, I totally agree.

We have a team built to force teams into submission.

Cam Newton throwing to Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen with 2 of the better "security blanket" receivers in the league.  That's instantly better than last season and our interior OL looks to be very strong.  If Chandler performs well, this team will have a successful 2014/2015.

    • Well said.  we usually develop our opinions based on the websites we frequent, highlight reels, discussion boards, and NFL Network.  In that process, we call ourselves "informed," but we really are not.  Unfortunately, neither are the experts.  It still blows my mind that first rounders have successful careers 53% of the time, and second rounders are about half of that. So as hard as we (and they) pound the table for this player or that player, it is a crap shoot in the first round and in the second, it is worse than the odds playing craps in Vegas.  And they (the experts) have combines and pro days and interviews etc.  and they still suck at it. All that to say, I am wrong as much as the GMs are-that should make me feel good, but it does not.  You have to recall who you pounded the table for in the drafts four or five years ago and see where they are now. Acting like I know and they do not is stupid, so I hope that they see what I cannot.  I think the best chance of hitting a home run in round 1:  Jeanty.
    • I think i would be happy with 7 wins personally, at least I would know we going in the right direction
