OK, so you didn't like the name change, what about Cover32's division changes?

Yes, it's the off-season blah blah blah.  The first day of summer is tomorrow, and we have some extremely hot, long days to get through, so we have to talk about something before training camp.  Some of you obviously hate the idea of the Carolina Mustangs (like that was ever going to happen anyway---it's just talk), so perhaps Cover32's Josh McSwain's idea of division realignments will strike your fancy (or fuel more old, tired, trite responses about not being able to wait for the off-season to end...even though you're going to have to wait like everyone else). LOL

 

Anyway, it seems to me that Cover32's division realignments do make some sense, and would perhaps provide a stronger sense of rivalry being that there would probably be a greater sense of "local" rivalry between teams, not to mention that more fans would probably be willing to drive to the games. I would hate missing out on hating Atlanta though, and would probably take the Falcons and send the Bucs packing (to the new NFC South).  

 

AFC South

Tennessee

Jacksonville

Tampa Bay

Carolina

 

Carolina and Tampa Bay shared some animosity in the NFC south, so keeping them together and putting Carolina with their 1995 expansion partners in Jacksonville could make that rivalry take off quickly. Jaguars also stay with Tennessee and welcome an in-state rival. Tennessee and Carolina is a new rivalry waiting to happen, Tennessee and North Carolina share a border.

 

 

 

I can just imagine a Panthers-Titans rivalry where the mix of Yankee transplants, southern rednecks, and the descendants of the Hatfields and McCoys, Daniel Boone, etc. come together for a competition of ethnic---err ethic proportions. That's if they could make it past the tailgating.

 

I think that we could rule the new AFC South.

The new NC South sucks. Have Dallas, Washington, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh in the same division and tell me there are no rivalries.

Would never happen because the precious Cowgirls must stay with the skins to keep the age old rivalry alive.  Plus, that's just depressing to see the Panthers in the AFC
