Of all 4-3 defenses that ranked in the top 10 against the run last year, only Tennessee had a DT near Kemo's range. That's 5/6 teams that don't have a fatass clogging the middle and do fine against the run. Just saying.

Kemo wasn't anything special, and he never turned any heads, but he was solid. I don't remember any games recently where he got dominated and ran on, but he also got no penetration.

The reality is this: Kemo would have been nice to have this season for our run D, but with Meeks running the scene, he would have been subbed out a lot for smaller D-linemen anyway in order to create more pressure. With Kemo out, our run D will suffer, but we should recover.
