I was referring to coconut oil. Not sure about water

Your info is a little outdated. Coconut oil got a bad rap back in 94 bc of its saturated fat and use in movie theater popcorn. Since then a few thing have changed about our understanding that not all fats are created equal and same with cholesterol. The sat fat in coconut oil doesn't have the same artery clogging effects as the saturated fats in meats, for example.

Secondly, when coconut oil got its bad rap back in 90's, only the refined oil with very little nutrients was tested. The newest studies, and there are many, use the virgin unrefined coconut oil. As with any fats, even with healthy fats from avocado, olive oil, coconut oil etc should all be used in moderation around 1-2 tablespoons a day limit.

My dad is a Cardiologist and Internal Medicine doctor and after barely surviving stage 4 lymphoma cancer, used a lot of alternative medicine to supplement his treatments and has been become quite educated about health through nutrition and now work and speaks for American Cancer Society. As one of their associates, he has access to all the newest scientific studies and I can sasy find you the studies on coconut oil.
