Who is the missing piece?

Fair enough. I should have said "their" logic. I don't claim to know more than any coach, GM, etc. but I just think if there were any merit that you would hear more about such and such player really elevating their game after making the switch to their dominant hand side. It's just the usual misinformation is what I'm trying to say I guess.

I can actually see it. Think of skateboarding or snowboarding between regular and goofy.

Not saying some light bulb is going to pop on and bell is going to be a godsend but I can see what they're saying

If our OTs are as bad as some fear, we may not have Cam for the whole season. I really hope Chandler can win the LT spot because I have nightmares about Bell consistently facing speed rushing REs and pass rushing 3-4 OLBs. I just keep remembering what Mario Williams did to him last year...

And that one disaster of a game is apparently bell every game last season, look I'm not defending him but here's what we know.

Lt is vastly different than rt

Bell has experience at lt from college

Bell struggles against speed rushers from the RIGHT side. Could that be different on the left? Idk possibly

Bell is borderline serviceable but he's not atrocious. Like many have said he's a decent backup meaning serviceable

Are Bell's feet going to get faster by moving to LT?  I don't see how.  He may be able to use his hands better as his dominant hand is now on the outside, but that's not going to help him when those speed rushers are two steps past him before he's even out of his stance.

I think way too much is being made out of him being left handed.  I'd be willing to be that the vast majority of elite LTs through the years have been right handed.

I didn't say that. I said I don't know but those are things to consider

We have a great dc. A good coach who finally snapped out of making fear based decisions. I still think shula is our handicap in that triumvirate. I think our line is serviceable but may overachieve. The secondary could be a tad bit better but again they may overachieve. We aren't far away.

So do you think getting an elite OC (take your pick) would be a greater difference maker than any one player?  Do you think it would be such an improvement as to make them Superbowl favorites this year?

Well imo to be favorites we'd need to go ahead and get a proven #1 cb and an anchor at tackle to replace Jordan. Also another proven receiver would bump us up the totem pole. Replacing Shula would just be sprinkles on the cupcake.

I ain't gonna lie. Shula did a fine job for a while there. When we started our winning streak, we were passing more on 1st down. Just those short slants, outs, WR screens type passes. But they put us ahead of the chains. I believe it was the main reason we were near the top of the league in efficient for a while there.

THAT is what I want back. That Offense that kept Defenses off balance. Kept us ahead of the chains. Allowed us to move the ball, and actually score some points. All in all, we were a pretty damm good Offense.

Then it went away. I want THAT Offense back.

megatron would help a lot.

or richard sherman/earl thomas in the secondary to make the defense OP.

First person to actually name players instead of just positions or saying bell sucks. I agree megaton would probably be the guy
