CBS Sports: What can the Hornets do at #9?

I think we are really high on PJ Harriston. We have worked him out a lot. I would love to get him with the 24th pick but not the 9th. I would love to get the PF from Indiana I think his name is Vonleth? Him or another top PF. I believe PF is what we need the most followed by SF and SG but I'm sure we will get a SF in free agency. I would love for us to trade up to get Jabari Parker but I'm sure it's a pipe dream.

Cody Zeller one year, then Vonleh the next? That would be awkward. Besides, this guy has bust written all over him. He moves like he has cement blocks around his feet. I'd much rather re-sign McRoberts and see if Zeller takes a step. None of these PF prospects in the top 10 are that impressive.

You want a super athlete, freak or specimen in the lottery, from a "potential" standpoint. This guy is none of that.

i cant see any way in which vonleh drops to us at nine - alot of teams are seeing huge potential with him and id be surprised if he drops past boston. statistically he was one of the best rebounders in college this year, and theres alot of chris bosh in him.

i think in 4 years he will have easily surpassed the offensive stats of okafor. i personally think he's going to be an allstar.

as for the hornets next year at the four spot. i think we might have to overpay mcroberts he we want to keep him - plus i guess he will want 3-4 guaranteed years (maybe 4 years/$15m?). im a little torn on who i want there... i think if we could get pau gasol for 2 years, it would be great, or id like to take a risk on someone like ed davis, who i think needs a chance at decent minutes to take the next step... i assume we will fill the starting spot through free agency and hopefully integrate zeller a little more in the hope he can develop into that role in his third year

I honestly think if McRoberts was just slightly more aggressive offensively, he could average 15 ppg efficiently. He has a solid jumper and gets hot from the perimeter.

Occasionally he gets Diaw-ish with his unselfishness. He could stand to take more of his open jumpers and he is an underrated athlete.

On another note, I would be happy with most of the players we could get at #9, regardless of position, except for an extremely overhyped (imo) combo guard from UCLA.

Orlando has outlandish expectations for trading Afflalo.  They should have traded him last summer or at the deadline, but reportedly kept asking for 2 first round picks.

I seriously doubt we can get him for less than the 9th pick, which would be way too much for a 1 year rental (hes gonna opt out this summer).

haha! not a fan of zach lavine then?! no doubt the guy is super athletic, but think he could get bullied on defence and might be too light weight for the nba.

lavine's the perfect example of a kid that needed to stay in college for another 2 years - develop a jumpshot and try and put on some weight.

no doubt someone will reach for him - the 76ers spring to mind

Not a big fan! I wish him the best, but I think he is fools gold.

Like cotton candy. Tastes good, but you can't live off of it.

He is the guard version of Ajinca.

Who knows? Maybe Embiid falls to #9? That is a gamble worth taking.

Unless we trade down and take Tony Buckets I'm starting to warm up to Dougie Mcbuckets

I'm getting more scared at that draft pick as I hear reports of his work outs.

Today on the radio they said he was getting handled by TJ Warren here.

TJ Warren reportedly has been handling everyone during 3 on 3 no matter who he has been up against.
