"James". And I use quotes because it's not even his real name. Packer had his own issues but "James" couldn't be a worse fit for the Charlotte market, and God help any market that he actually would be a "good fit".

It was better yesterday than it has been in years.  The rotating co-host format (like the old Packer show) is nice so you don't have to listen to the same bozo's all week. Hope they can get "new regulars" as co-hosts other than the same line of nitwits that have done the co-host thing for years. Bring in Smitty for a day, Jordan Gross, Haywood, and other local pro athletes rather than the same old reporters and retreads.  

 

I thought the show moved along quickly which I like.  I hated Taylor and Marc where they basically repeated the first hour of the show again at 4pm just because some other markets didn't start until 4.  Time will tell but at least it was a good start.

he's a cowboys fan who i think started as a regular caller to wfnz's whiner line (that's where all the steeler and redskin fans call in to talk about how much they hate the panthers) and then got on the show from there.  actually none of that's true, i just looked it up.  he's a d-list standup comic from charlotte who interned at wfnz years ago and i guess gave the right guy a tug job in a broom closet and got on the air.

 

he gets a three minute segment where he shits on the panthers and proclaims the greatness of the cowboys, yankees, and gamecocks every day.  he said kelvin benjamin was a "twinkie and big mac" 240 and that he was slow because he a ran a 4.6 40 or some poo the other day which prompted my sarcastic post in this thread.  it's worth noting that he's a fat troll himself.

 

it's likely that he's just playing a character but it's so damn close to what cowboys fans in the carolinas are like that it might as well be who he really is.

Meh....I like QCB. Don't get me wrong, I understand why people hate him but his dumbass remarks give me a laugh at times. Some people just take him waaaay to seriously.

 

I liked what I heard yesterday. I don't know much about Chris Kroeger other than his band Nickleback is terrible but he sounded much better on sports radio. I agree that it is good to have rotating guest hosts which will keep it fresh. Guys like Sorenson, B-wood, Cedric Maxwell, etc. really add to the show.

 

I also noticed that Nate and Colin got a 2 hour segment from 10a-12p....I thought those two got better as they went along and hope it works out. I don't know much about Nate but I always liked Colin's perspective on things.

Oh and it may have been mentioned on here already but I saw where Marc James went to work for sports radio out of Atlanta. I am usually not one to be highly critical of people but he was terrible and a total D-bag. I know he can't wait to be throwing his "expertise" about the Panthers around there as much as possible. I may tune in just to hear some of the BS that comes out of his mouth come football season. I hate that I might help his ratings but the curiousty will get the best of me.

Unlistenable. Colin is fine in small doses during the morning show, but that's about it.

 

Listened to PrimeTime yesterday for the first time since Zarzour left. Not bad. Like that they're returning to the rotating guest host thing.

Colin is a UNC and panther fan. Nate is the patriots fan, although I thought he was an NC state guy rather than duke
