Wade should retire. He won't ever blame his body, he always will say he feels fine but he clearly isn't. Wade is done. If Wade retires you can pretty much figure Bosh will opt out and LeBron is as good as gone. Suck it Miami fans the show in south beach is now over.

Those same Miami "fans" will be in the ESPN comments bragging about the Knicks/Rockets/Thunder/Bulls

What's this poo about the Heat being "old"? These excuses are pitiful.

 

Dwayne Wade is 32, Chris Bosh is 30, and Lebron is 29.

 

Tim Duncan is 38, Manu Ginobili is 36, Tony Parker is 32, and these guys flat out embarrassed the Heat.

Noah has been recruiting Anthony apparently.  It's a long shot but if the Bulls get Carmelo...

 

D. Rose, Butler, James, Anthony, Noah

 

They'd likely have to figure something out with Taj though...apparently everyone there is trade consideration outside of D. Rose.

I say they all go their separate ways but who knows.  It's not that they lost the FInals but they got stomped out.  Hard to watch Wade these days and I've always liked him.  He should hang them up before his body/game deteriorates even more.  Lebron was all alone and the look on his face said alot to me.  I wish we could see him in Purple and Teal (he'd look great in the uniform) but that's a longshot/not gonna happen.  I don't really care what happens with Bosh.  He seems like a nice guy but he's way to o soft to be 7ft tall.

No one really said they are old.

 

We are saying that Wade's body is giving out on him....he is injured and hurting every year.

 

Bosh has become a one trick pony (sitting on the 3 pt line)....and he was never a real superstar in the first place.

 

If Melo does not come to Miami, I will bet you that LeBron is gone.

Wade had surgery way back in 2002 while he was still at Marquette to remove his meniscus so he wouldn't have to get rehab and affect his 2003 draft stock. So while he's actually 32, his knees act more like 42, hence the reason he didn't play much in the regular season. It doesn't help that he has never changed his playing style.

 

Lebron and Bosh aren't old. And for all the flack he's going to get for this series Lebron still put up his regular numbers. It's the bench that was terrible. Rashard Lewis, Shane Battier, Ray Allen, Udonis Haslem are all years removed from being effective NBA players, and the Spurs, meanwhile, could roll out effective bench players night in and night out that would just wear Miami down leading to what we ended up seeing in the last three games.

 

Spoelstra's offense took Bosh from a star PF in Toronto who could put up 20 and 10 a night to a 6'11 small forward who just shoots 3 pointers all the time.

 

Hopefully, this series will buck the trend of the "superteam" and GMs will put more of an emphasis on ball movement on offense and building quality depth on the bench in lieu of a bunch of max contracts. Alas, if this is the end of the Big 3, they still got to 4 straight finals and won 2 titles in that span, and every franchise will take that if they can get it.

So much overreacting. The "big" 3 will be back- Bosh/Wade aren't turning down all that money, and Lebron knows the hit his reputation would take if he bolted just because he lost a finals with his hand picked superteam.

 

They still play in the east and have a free path to the finals. There are so many "ifs" surrounding a potential Melo/Bulls challenger that it's silly to seriously talk about that at this point. Wade isn't what he used to be but he can still contribute, Bosh still has game- the Spurs have made a lot of really good players look really bad over the past few months. Put the Heat against any other team and I think the Heat win, or at least come awfully close. The Heat will make the finals next year and have a decent chance at winning, even if they aren't the overwhelming favorite. How much more can you ask for?

 

Worst case, Wade and Bosh really are done and the Heat lose again next year. They will still make it very far in the playoffs even if they don't win a title. Their contracts will be up and Lebron will be able to leave to a new team with a valid "I don't want to rebuild" excuse, and his reputation will be intact. Until that point comes you don't mess it up- make tweaks and try to overcome weaknesses, because the gap isn't that huge. The Spurs were something special this season, there's no reason to panic and blow everything up because of a loss to them. Just a few years ago people wanted the Spurs to blow up their Duncan/Manu/Parker core- how did that play out?

Spoelstra got outcoached pretty badly. As for the bench, eh that's a stretch, and honestly just shifting blame. They just won back to back championships with those guys that are apparently "years removed from being effective".

 

They have Ray Allen to thank for the game 6 win in last years finals. Now he's a scrub? That's funny.

 

Lebron chose to go to Miami, and immediately put the high expectations on his team with the "not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven" quote about how many championships they would win together.

 

It's one thing to lose the finals, but to lose the way they did is just embarrassing for all involved, including Lebron.
