What's next for the Heat's Big 3?

They should blow it up in my opinion. They can't win another championship with the core of that team anymore. Not only did they just lose the finals they got exposed as well. As far as another big 3, look at Houston. They will have a chance this offseason to get Melo. Thing's are going to get real interesting this summer.

with the formation of the super teams era, not looking food for teams like Cha.

Building teams with only free agents may be new, but super teams have been around since Bill Russell's day

We just need MJ to suit up again and convince some guys to come play with him

Saw a tweet last night where 2 people "in the know" about Lebron had 2 vastly different opinions. I'm assuming one was he's staying, one is he's leaving. I never thought he'd leave, but after the loss and seeing his team collapse/get old around him...I think it's finally a possibility.

Plan A would still be to bring in Carmelo. Hell, kick Wade to the curb or make him take a substantial pay-cut. Then, bring in an actual PG to roll with LBJ/Melo/Bosh.

Plan B. Cleveland or whatever other team would be seen as a potential landing spot.

I'd be shocked if LeBron stayed. Wade is probably done and Bosh just isn't an elite player. I think that if he leaves Houston would be the most logical fit with two superstars in Harden and Howard already there.

Houston makes sense......LeBron needs to go find a team with a few more superstars so he can try and win another championship.

For as great a talent he is, he just cannot lead a team to the championship while being "the man".

Yep, the Clippers would make sense as well but he said before Sterling was the reason he didn't go there in 2010 and with all this stuff going on now I don't think he would want to go there.

When LeBron didn't come out and say "I'm staying here" at the press conference I took it as he's gone. If James leaves I think it's obvious Bosh leaves as well.

However if they stay they need to focus on the C and PG position and not worry about Melo.

Unless James Harden substantially improves his defense I don't see Houston ever being more than a good regular season team.

As far as Miami goes, there's no way Wade opts out unless he's not interested in money, the finals exposed how far past his prime he is. Bosh will more than likely opt in I'd say, he seems to be happy there. LBJ is the only question imo and I have no idea what he will do. Their already terrible bench is going to be worse, as Battier is retiring, and I have a feeling Ray Allen will as well.

Bring back James, give Wade a Ginobili type role off the bench, get Bosh to play more inside.

Wade also has to develop a jumper to stay around. He is getting old and slow and his athleticism that he relied on to score is clearly not the same it used to be. Think Vince Carter, if he didn't form a better jumper he'd be retired or a bench warmer right now.

    • It's been a tradition of mine in FF I ignore the name of the RB and draft them based on the oline. For years, Dallas was the elite line. Now it's Philly. It's been plug and play behind those lines. Investing those day 2 picks on the interior line allows you to take a day 3 RB and get day 2 results.
    • So we have Tremble, JT Sanders, and the Thomas - Franks is the 4th but mainly just for Special teams.  Sanders is a TE - on paper, on the roster, physically, and on the field.  If you are trying to claim because he is a good receiver and not a great blocker he is not a TE then you have not watched very much football, like at all.  Cause that is how a ton of TE's come into the league.  Literally the #1, most common area for improvement for the TE group every single year - especially the top 5 TE's. And for the 1 millionth time, for the people in the back - drafting BPA is absolutely not a rule that anyone follows.  Not a single team.  They always factor in multiple things, BPA being one of them but not the most important almost ever.  It is an evaluation of need, personal evaluation, pick position/who drafts before your next pick, trade offers, free agents possible.  They don't follow it for good reason. Perfect example - Bo Nix.  He was not rated anywhere near #12 by just about anyone - including the broncos.  But they drafted him because they NEEDED a QB, liked him, and had no 2nd RD pick.  They outright said that.  Do you think they regret the pick?  They drafted 100% for need and pick position. Example #2 - Bijan.  Atlanta drafted BPA.  He is amazing, had a great 2 years so far.  They were 7-10 for 2 straight years prior.  And the 2 years after they have been 7-10 & 8-9.  Do you think they made the right decision?  By the way they also spent the #4 overall pick on Pitts, a Generational TE, and he/they suck.  I'd imagine Falcon fans would not agree with your BPA theory since they missed out on Chase, Waddle, Parsons, Horn, PSII, DeVonta Smith - all positions of need in 2021. BPA is A criteria, but not THE criteria.
