Do you just want to disagree with everything I say? I'm being goofy braahahah

Let's start with who are you?

That's just silly to make a statement like that. If you said taxes are too high, corporate tax should be lowered, or engineers are kick ass people I would agree completely

God do I hate that. I went shopping at the outlet mall this weekend. Would drive me nuts the second I walk in the door, I'm hit with a greeting. Not from a greeter. From the cashier next to the door who I didn't see, nor acknowledge. I wasn't ready for that. I had to look around and find her and nod. Then 10 feet later another greeter got me from behind the clearance rack. Dammit! Unless I make eye contact with you, don't say poo to me! It was like being ambushed by Charlie.

Then I didn't buy anything, and on the way out I got hit 3 times with, "Thanks for coming!" Now you're wishing me farewell for not buying anything? fugin leave me alone! I don't want any of your poo, nor will I ever!

What market research did they do that they found that customers like to be hounded with pleasantries every 30 seconds, and therefore that should be corporate policy?

man, I wish there was a Publix in Winston Salem.

You're from Winston Salem? I grew up there on Bank St. How's the meth these days? Potent?

The one place that really gets me on that is Noodles and Co. here in Charlotte. The location I know of is South Blvd but they may have a few others.

I love to meet people there for networking lunches and take clients. They don't have "servers" per se, you go through the line and order your food and then someone brings it around. I love their salads and wraps, they have great food.

They don't communicate with each other, so you have the person that brings your food who asks if everything is okay and then I get asked roughly 4-5 times throughout my meal if everything is good and alright and if we need anything- even though there is a counter that has everything including self serve drinks and napkins, silverware, condiments, etc.

I appreciate the customer service but I don;t want to stop my business conversation every three minutes to acknowledge you and let you know everything is okay. I mean, I really appreciate it, but leave me the fug alone after the 2nd time of asking if everything is okay. They don't get tipped anyways, so you don't need to try so hard.

When I waited tables, I always made sure to follow up after the food was sent out and they had already tasted it, but after that, I left them alone to eat and talk. No one wants to stop their conversation throughout their meal multiple times to tell you everything is fine. If they need you, they will engage you.

OH, and Jangler.....they are building a Publix right down the road from that on South Blvd here in Clt....wouldn't have to move far AND you could be down the street from BOA Stadium!

I work for Home Depot and I can tell you that it is a damned if we do- damned if we don't type of relationship. Either folks are complaining that we are not helping them or complaining that we are bugging them too much.

So which one is it?

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this restaurant but at Calhoun's On The River in Knoxville this one server would not leave me and my date the fug alone. Literally every 5 minutes he would interrupt our conversation and ask how everything was or if we needed anything. I try to tip waiters even if they're awful but I did not tip him because he was so fuging annoying.

Here is the thing: Most folks think that I am "upselling" because I make commission . I can tell you that no Home Depot associate or department supervisor makes commission.

I try to let every customer know that I here to help and if they don't then I always end my conversation with, "Well if you need my help just let me know" and most are satisfied.

But my intentions are to strictly help the customer because, after all, it is the biggest complaint out of customers... No service and I try to avoid those responses.

chik-fil-a might be suffocating but they also basically wait your table for you so it's ok. They're so nice I consider it going to church.

I wish the people were as nice at church as they are at chick fil a.
