I played madden 15 at e3. questions?

Answer. It truly will be the best madden yet. Last year was a port, and the patience pays off. Qb accuracy plays a big part. Peyton and brady are unstoppable

Did you play the game on All Madden by chance? Is the CPU run game still impossible to stop on All Madden?  In the next gen version, the CPU is ridictulous with Off-Tackle runs and gets perfect blocks every time.  My LB and DL is all high 80s or 90s and get pancaked by 75 overall lineman for 15 yards a play. 

 

Also, did you notice any fixes with "True Step"?  They added in a so called realistic feature in last year's next gen version that made offensive ball carriers have to break down and shuffle their feet to change direction....too bad the defense doesn't have to do the same, so they always have a advantage and can cut you off.

If you're actually competitive in said tourneys that means you don't playing anything close to realistic simulation football so forgive me for not agreeing. I've bought Madden every year too for Franchise with friends, and while I'll agree it's gotten better it's still a long ways off of what we should have in 2014. If you need any proof just take a look at what other EA studios have done with Fifa and NHL. Those are much more accurate representations of the sport.

Theres a difference between what you do with friends and when your playing to win. I like the franchise mode with my friends more than anything but i also play it for the comp at the highest levels. Every madden has its flaws that the developers don't seem to catch and people go into practice mode just to try to"break the game" and take advantage of those flaws. I haven't played fifa hard core but im sure it is more less the same at the highest levels as with any video game. Fighting games have cheesy infinite combo loops all games are flawed because it is hard to make every single aspect realistic. The human element is unpredictable and it's hard to account for that in making a game. As i said madden is a blend of arcade and sim.

The funny thing about people who want 2k to make a football game these days is how they either put aside, or are unware of the complete mess that their NBA franchise has become. Between the VC poo that they have tied into damn near every part of the game, the glitches and animation priority that make it so you can almost put the controller down and let the game play itself, and the constant issues with their online play that are still completely broken and have been for years, 2k has become an embarrassment. Which is sad, because they were right there in 2k8/2k9 aside from some of the online issues they had. They went the complete wrong way in everything after that. 

 

NFL 2K5 wasn't even the best football simulation the year it was released, let alone some outrageous claims of GOAT status. It was a pretty gift wrapped box disguising some awful AI, animations that took so long to finish (and you could not break out of because that would disrupt the beauty of NFL 2K5!) that you could have a DB still in a catching or swatting animation while a WR is already 20 yards down the field scoring an untouched TD, and ridiculous unintentional exploits that were so gamebreaking that it caused the online play to poo itself

 

Alstott + YYYYYYYYY (or triangletriangletriangle) was unstoppable. You could trigger the Y truck animation from any angle, it was almost comical.

 

With that said, I can't blame people for thinking 2K5 is God compared to Madden. Madden is fuging awful, and I'd love some competition.

Haven't played madden since 2012. That had potential to be a good game but it was ruined with no huddle run scrubs that didn't actually know how to play the game. If they could just keep people from exploiting the game then most of the recent madden's wouldn't be that bad.

 

I stopped playing all madden because that difficulty is designed to piss you off. Totally random 3rd down drops that happen just because doesn't make any sense. I only play online anyway because I find franchise mode lame.

Playing online against guys who find exploits in the game is what makes madden bad...playing in an online franchise with a group of mature dudes with some rules is an awesome nerdfest.

One game no one raves anout that was also better than Madden was NFL Fever on the original XBOX...2K5 gets too much of a mythical perfection status when it is not.

Also Madden is not as bad as alot of people on many message boards love to go on about... It is just a hard game to learn to play.

Get a person who has never played Madden before... Just to get them to pick a play, hike, learn to pass to a WR... Will take 20 -30 minutes for them to even get... Let alone making reads against different defenses.hot routes, audibles..what defense to call..not hitting the wrong button.

When Madden comes out three-five guys go I got my copy!.... I returned it bc it sucks after playing on it 20 minutes.. EA sucks!

EA and Madden are not the best.. And yes it seemsnothing more than a $60 roster update most seasons... But the next gen games have minimized a lot of exploits or agressively patch ones they find.

I think Madden 25 on PS3/360 is one of the worst Maddens ever...Madden 25 on XBOX ONE/PS4 on of the better ones.

Each version has a way to play it... You have to get reps oniy to like it IMO.

In the standard roster league its a random draft on who picks what team..I had to be the Bills...some Marine at Camp Lejeune got the Panthers.

I am the Panthers in the fantasy draft league...as the current champ Id have to be beat outta the rights to own the Panther logo!
