5-0 to start the season, realistic or not?

As long as we play defense as well as last year we will be in every game.  Whether we win or not will depend on the offense coming up big so they can match those offenses.  as long as we do that we should be fine.  I like our chances with Cam in a close one this year.  It has taken 3 years to be able to say that.

 

Exactly what I am thinking.   If the new secondary meshes together quickly our defense will be able to hold most teams under 20 points. 

 

If Jonathan Stewart and D'Will can run the ball and take some pressure off the WR Corp we can put some points on the board.

 

I hate these type of predictions because every team has the potential to beat the other.  

 

I believe we are capable of winning all our games.   These first 5 should be Ws and I feel confident that Cam and that Chip the media has put on his shoulder are going to carry us to a great season.

 

You say Carolina has the sorriest receivers in the league.   You are also saying the QB is sorry too.   After all you cannot receive unless you are thrown too.   I know as a QB I would take offense to it too.

if, it the beginning of the season last year, the question was asked "how realistic would finishing 12-4 and winning the division be?", how would we have responded?

 

5-0 to start the season this year is just as realisitic as 12-4 and winning the division was last year, imo. that's not saying that we'll go undefeated throughout the season, but winning the first 5 games is possible.

Good point. But don't forget about the 2 TE set. I think that will play a big part in taking the pressure off our WRs, And help open up the running game.

The Pittsburgh game is basically a road game, I dont see us winninng it.

The last time we were 5-0 now that I remember we play the Indianapolis Colts we were both at 5-0now with all this talk about us having the sorriest receivers would it surprise anybody that it will be one of our strengths this year.

Last year we didn't have anybody on the backend and that's all everyone talked about which was true but they came together and played well so when I look at the wide receivers I see a good group of solid ball catchers which we didn't have last year I don't know maybe its me maybe I'm just being too optimistic
