I'm guessing we're not the only few people who are thinking we could pursue or have a crack at Anthony. I mean MJ did make a huge push for Harden, so why not for Anthony when we would not be losing anything (picks).

Another rumor is that we will take a look at Harrison Barnes!!!!!! I know a lot of guys on here like myself are fans of the UNC product. It is believe that the Warriors will not ask much in return for him. I would send the no9 pick to GSW without hesitation. Seriously!

What if:

(1) Sign Melo

(2) Trade no9 for Barnes

2014-2015 CHARLOTTE HORNETS

PG: Kemba Walker / Shabazz Napier

SG: Harrison Barnes / Gerald Henderson / Gary Neal

SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist / Jeff Taylor

PF: Carmelo Anthony / Cody Zeller

C: Al Jefferson / Bismack Biyombo

Easily a Top3 seed in the East!!!!!

Number 9? No no no. We passed up on him so we must stand our ground with such a high pick in this deep draft.

Well, he was the 7th pick. Giving up our no9 pick will not hurt me a bit. Of course, there's some players with higher ceilings that we could have at 9, but I believe Barnes is a better player right now than anyone we could take at that spot.

The Warriors would be all over this deal if Cho gives them a call.

I don't know how I feel about Barnes. He is such a horridly inconsistent player.

I think it's a lack of confidence issue atm. Signing Iggy to a big deal didn't help him a bit too.

He would be perfectly here with Kemba and MKG. He gotta, no he is better than Gerald Henderson.

No. 9 for Barnes?! Lol have you watched how little he positively impacts the game for the Warriors? He seems to never make an important basket..

If he could duplicate the Harrison Barnes in the 2013 playoffs id be all for it but he was just awful and regressed this past year.

At least Danny Green knows his role and does a couple of things well(defense and threes)...Barnes is just kind of ok at a few things.

1. I'm sold on Stauskas. I'd rather take him at 9 (barring something really weird like Wiggins falling)

2. I'm not a fan of Melo, but fug it. If he'll come here, I'm all in.

Interesting question though. Jordan and Melo are buddies. Melo's not going to come here just for that, but he endorses Jordan's brand and Nike will basically do whatever the fug Jordan tells them. Could MJ potentially lure Melo here with endorsement incentives? That's were the real money is at anyway. I have no doubt it's against the "rules." Every team has broken these rules. Could it be proven? If it was, what would the consequences be?

No way. Barnes has not shown anything to warrant giving the 9th pick for. People keep building him up, he is a rotation player off the bench. In fact, we all want to replace Henderson badly, but not with Barnes. Hendo shot just as well, in fact better than Barnes this past year. Hendo is a much better defender as well. No way you trade no. 9 for Barnes

 Henderson for Barnes.

Where did this talk about trading Barnes for #9 come from? After Barnes' last year, you could probably get him for the #24 pick, and definitely for either "Henderson + #24" or "Jeff Taylor + #24."

If they went that route, I would still go after Gordon Hayward, because Barnes is really a SG in a SF's body. If he was 6'6 instead of 6'8, there would be no difference in how he plays, or how he is capable of playing, so you could play him at SG with Hayward at SF, which means Kemba wouldn't be the long-term solution at PG because you'd want a PG that was at least 6'3, or taller (aka, "Kyrie Irving").

Only thing with Barnes is he's probably going to be a piece Minnesota is looking for if they trade Love to Golden State, but I am open to Charlotte getting in on that deal, if they actually are interested in a Harrison Barnes. Getting him and Minnesota's 13th pick is doable, since Minnesota has four draft picks this year, and GS would really only be getting Kevin Love.

Give Minnesota #9 in that trade scenario and let them draft Randle if he falls because of his injury, and they'll be ecstatic. Doubt he falls to #13.

    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
    • He is a diva, even with Baltimore winning, he will cry and pout and ask to be traded. He cares about his numbers and stats for his next contract. Ironically, his best chance to showcase his ability was with us, now he is just an afterthought.
