If Double Trouble returns...?

Yes, but we drafted him because of his run blocking and If i remember our run game went down the drain both season after Amini injury. You want to make a bet?

We drafted him for what we hope he can become....not what he will be in 2014. There is also a reason many people believed he could do used one more year of college.

Amini has glimpses. When he is gone people tend to think Amini is more consistant of a player than he has shown of date. IMO

Gets pretty sickening on this site to hear all the negative on DWill. The OL is what keeps him from being another Emmitt Smith. He has been a constant on this team in ever single way of the word. Start blaming age for your short comings but not DWills.

If he stayed one more yr in college he would be a 1st round pick but why not just go play in the NFL and get the  experience now. He is already getting reps with 1st team and he pretty much jumped into the scene at LSU from redshirt. It seems like he adapts very well and the transition will be easier, especially playing in the SEC.  Don't worry I'll remind you of your concerns about the OL in mid- season  and see who was right.  :dw:

Stew and DeAngelo each get over 1000 rushing yards and atleast 20 tds between the 2, would you still want them both or one of them gone after next season? Would it be worth their current salaries if they (along with Cam, the o-line and receivers) elevate our offense to top 15?

Sure.

And if Jason Avant and Jerricho Cotchery combine for 3000 receiving yards, would you want to give them both 20 million guaranteed?

Again, I think he will be good. 2014 he will be a rookie though.....one who likely could of used one more year of college if he was going to be ready to be legit as a rookie from day 1.

And when Amini went down we for better.....better with a broken down Wharton

O-line is too bad for Double Trouble to return.

But if it happened, one still needs to go. I bet Gaffney develops into a nice role playing RB (and obviously Tolbert is also in the mix).

I disagree. The interior run game could be really good with a pro bowl center and two road grater guards. Probably won't run much off tackle but the interior run game should be good with sweeps being a good option because of our new big, blocking WRs.

Don't be so quick to assume dude. Tackle could pan out.

I agree with most the posters here thinking Dwill will be gone after this season. Not that I'll like it. But it's how it'll be.

Stew is holding on per his contract for a couple more years.

Not that we will carry as many RB's as we have currently... But, we have a few options for the future on the roster now... Let's see what happens with them as well.

I also am with the people that think the oline will be better than most think.

Yes, I'm being optimistic, but I'm also not expecting a Super Bowl this season. Lol

Waiting for it all to play out... But I'm expecting at least our first back to back winning seasons.

Here's hope'n Double Trouble returns! I'm all for it!!

Understood but Turner hasn't played a snap, Amini needs to stay healthy, and Stew/Dlo aren't necessarily in their prime anymore (on top of Stew's injury bug). Bringing back Wharton (if he chooses) would be a huge help. Kalil, and I guess Dlo, are the only sure-things. Not rushing to assumptions, just staying realistic. We have a deep stable of RB/FB but as of now, I don't see Stew/Dlo putting up 1,000+ yds each.
