Age vs Wear & Tear. This writer gives D-Lo the thumbs up.

I gotta say that as one of my all-time favorite Panthers, I'm just glad I get to watch Williams play for our team again this year. It's possible he becomes a liability this year, but I doubt it based on what I saw last year. (I'm speaking of "liability" in terms of his on-field play and not his contract, of course.) I really do think we can get one year of actual Double Trouble in 2014.

The list is short for 30 year old 1000 rushers because the list of 30 year old rushers is short as well.  But age isn't the factor some make it out to be.  Most backs don't make it to 30 to begin with and if they do it is because they are pretty good and can be productive into their 30s. They will be on their second or even their third contract which isn't given to guys who aren't pretty good.  With the emphasis on devaluing the running game there are going to be fewer backs who are still playing in their thirties because they can be replaced by cheaper draft picks.

Yep, before his injury they were saying it. And then his arm gave out

The two and 1/2 games before he was injured had Jake on a pro bowl pace.  Anyone can be injured but that has nothing to do with Williams nor is it germaine to this discussion.

Gets pretty sickening on this site to hear all the negative on DWill. The OL is what keeps him from being another Emmitt Smith. He has been a constant on this team in ever single way of the word. Start blaming age for your short comings but not DWills.

(Yeah I've said it before)

Dude, jake just threw the ball and was next seen clenching his throwing arm in pain on the field so it's not like a guy on the falcons' defensive line folded it into a pretzel. That's what we get I guess for thinking he was going to play into his 40s or whatever because he was a career backup until 28.
