After one season back in North America and with the Hurricanes organization, Mark Flood is heading back to the KHL.

 

In 74 games with the Checkers, Flood recorded 13 goals, 18 assists, 31 points, 27 PIM, and a +/- of -24.

 

Flood was probably looking for more money and a shot to make the Canes. The Canes are obviously not in any position to give him either opportunity.
