Cam has a chance to prove to the doubters just how good of a qb he really is... he's surrounded by "pedestrian"receivers with the exception of Benjamin, and as anyone with an average football IQ can attest to, a GREAT qb can take AVERAGE receivers and make them better.

The guys we have now are no more pedestrian than the guys we had last year.  So it will be no more on Cam than it was last year.  Lets be real here we had the 27th ranked offense last year.  The bar is not that high.  What I an looking for is for him to continue to be clutch in the 4th quarter and keep pulling out wins late.  That was the biggest difference between 2012 and 2013 in addition to the obvious improvement on defense.

 

Cam didn't have to carry everyone last year and won't have to do it this year either.  Cam had a great year last year and I expect more of the same this year. But we are the Panthers and win as a team not the Newtons and only win because of him.

If they/the media would have actually watched the Panthers the past three seasons (especially last year), they would have known that almost any group of receivers would be an improvement over the group from last year. But they're too stupid to know, as well as too arrogant to care.

Smith's "another level" came and went 3 years ago.  There will be no revenge, there will be no blood and guts.

 

The best thing that could happen to Steve this year is for him to blow out his knee in the first game of the season and fade into the mist.  He can then return to his proper place and STFU.

 

He keeps this poo up and he will be honored by no one.

Well even our own panthers fans were acting like losing ted ginn, lafell, and 35 year old steve smith with our 27th ranked passing was the worst thing ever even though we improved on each replacement pretty much. I don't know where the disconnect happened but in every way is our wr core better than last year.
