No reason why the Panthers should contact Cams people. The team has exercised the option on the contract so why should they jump and react to the SF signing.  There is a lot of time.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. But considering he was our offense and he put us on his back to a 12-4 playoff birth and division title in his 3rd year I can't really say I'll be pissed if he becomes the highest paid player ever.

It will hurt but I won't be mad. He deserves it. Hopefully both sides can agree on something to where it frees us up a little bit cap wise.

Most definitely. He's the face of the franchise and dare I say he has made us relevant. People know the panther's cos of Cam. I was reading comments on the Luke Madden video and one raider fan was like; "who is that? The only Panther I know is Cam".
