There are million more proxy servers.  I have no idea why IT is trying to block websites from employees.

A lot of companies also block proxy websites.

 

I remember when I was in HS, I used to always just type a URL into google translate and set it to translate into english. Since it was already in english, the words stayed the same, but the URL ran through google.com, so I was able to use the website. I doubt that will trick any web security apps these days though.
