I hope you're not this ignorant and just being an ass considering soccer was upheld as a sport for the wealthy and caucasian in this country decades ago.

If you are this stupid, then don't procreate and replicate.

That's not ignorant at all. I was on a youth sports board and we started up a soccer program and a football program. It cost less than $500 for soccer and close to $5000 for football. That doesn't include the fields since we already had one.

Once again, your perception is misguided. You state that soccer is only a popular sport in third world countries and yet the sport is #1 with superpowers such as Germany, England, France, Russia, etc. Nevermind that soccer also has triple the revenue and sponsors than football. In addition, your logic is flawed (as to soccer being less expensive than football in your supposedly board numbers) since minorities were banned from playing the sport completely (as oppose to other sports like baseball and football) as it was reserved purely for the 'prestigious'.

Your comment is not only ignorant but asinine.

Umm... I think you have me confused with someone else, I didn't say anything about a third world country. I said it was fun to play but boring to watch to me. (Baseball is the same way). I have no problem if someone has a different opinion.

I do think that one of the reasons it is so popular worldwide is the fact that it's cheap/easy to get started up. That's not a knock on soccer at all, actually that's the great thing about it.

In regard to the "supposed board numbers", to play soccer we needed 2 goals, some soccer balls and paint to make the lines. Football required helmets, pads, footballs and paint. I don't know if you have priced helmets and pads but they aren't cheap at all. This was all startup costs and the equipment is reusable.

This first game is a perfect exemple how roten this sport can be..

I was thinking the same thing, after actually managing to work up some kind of interest before the game started, there is a hard reminder of why I left the sport last time (well that we have not manage to qualify in a while and are on the decline, despite having one of the best in Ibrahimovic, is not helping of course).

You know the English think American Football is for sissy's because players wear helmets and heavy padding. Rugby is a physical sport with almost no protection. But what it really comes down to is you were raised in a culture were one sport is favored over the others and you aren't willing to broaden your horizons.

Hopefully you get the irony of your own post.
