Jordan Wants To Add Superstar

Recommended Posts

Per espn.

This season Carmelo scored 2112 pts on 1643 fg's.  subtract his 459 ft's and that drops to 1653 pts.   barely a point per shot.   Yes he scores but its not very efficient.  That is also with his 3pt fg's.

Just to be fair.  Without free throws Jefferson scored 1403 pts on 1376 fg's, so his stats aren't stellar either, but considered he shot 15 threes all season to Melo's 415 and had a 50% fg percentage to melo's 45%.  You get the point.

It's hard to average 31 per game, it hasn't been done very much ever. That's what half that consistent would be. Melo can play team basketball, I have no idea where this idea that he can't came from. Go watch him from the Olympics, or even Denver. But it's hard to be a great team player when your team trades a first round pick for Andrea Bargnani and pays him $10 million per year.

Didn't watch him Denver, but it seems current Melo plays team ball when he believes his teammates are as good as he is.  Not sure he would think that in Charlotte.

If he was half that consistent every night I'd be all over him. That was beautiful to watch, it was the only reason I watched the whole game. But, he can't, if he could play team basketball I'd be all over him, but he doesn't. I'd rather work out a trade for Kevin Love even if its just for 1 year.

He averaged. 27 points per game on 45% shooting so he's obviously doing something right.

Defense is easier to teach than offense... we saw that this past year as Big Al improved a decent amount on defense and yet MKG's jumper is still flat out broken.

If Carmelo has the desire to play defense, Clifford can work with him.

If he doesn't, who gives a sh*t he averages 27ppg and would immediately makes us a top four team in the eastern conference.

If he would sign I would take him. He is a very good player no matter how you cut it, great shooter and scorer and would fit nicely. Some of the plays he makes will piss you off. Too many dumb isolation shots and lack of effort on defense.

I believe with strong coach and teammates to hold him accountable he could really go to another level.
