Jordan on his offseason plans

“I always thought it was a great destination. I think Big Al (Jefferson) proved you can come here and make a big difference,” Jordan said Monday. “Hopefully we can look at that and attract some other superstar."

Jordan on his short term goals

Jordan has said his short-term goal is the Hornets becoming a top-four team in the East, which would give them home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. They were the seventh seed last month and were swept in the first round by the Miami Heat.

The biggest problem with Melo coming here is... No one has asked permission from his wife. There is no way she's leaving New York.

He's on the wrong side of 30 and his contract could really hamper us if age starts to catch up with him.

He's 30 in basketball age, not running back age. He's fairly young.

We all can (and have) gone back and forth about the positives and negatives of Melo coming to Charlotte. Outside of all of that...do we all agree it would be pretty awesome having a top 15/20 player pick this team?

Every single Charlotte fan would cry tears of joy if we landed Melo.

If Melo comes in and plays the 4 and we find a way to get a legitimate deep threat at the 2 we could be a really good team.

That is the issue.  He won't just play the 4.  He will try to do everything on offense and then nothing on defense.  Going to be hard to change his mind set this far into his career and not sure how that would fly with clifford.

    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
    • He is a diva, even with Baltimore winning, he will cry and pout and ask to be traded. He cares about his numbers and stats for his next contract. Ironically, his best chance to showcase his ability was with us, now he is just an afterthought.
