From 1965 until 1972 I spent more time there hiking and camping than anywhere else in California. My younger brother died there while climbing El Capitan in 1980, he was barely 21 and I haven't been back since. Course, I live on the east coast now, too, but even the few trips I've made back out to Cali I still have no desire to go.

I'm sorry to hear that. I had to investigate an ex's climbing accident once. Very painful to put in my report it was her own stupidity.
