Not at all.  That would be pretty unique.  But I know the first Sir Purr was a guy because Jon Reep said he cussed security out when they threw him out.

I have a relative who filled in as Sir Purr at two events (children's hospital stuff).  He was a mascot in college and interviewed for the job but didn't get it.

The job requires you to work in the PR department when not donning the costume.
