49ers playoff game

fug refs. score a lot so those guys cant mess u up.

that playoff game was way closer than the score. panthers could have won the superbowl last year.......it was that close. so funny because newton doesnt have the best coach or o coordinator. had an avg wr. avg running backs. avg online also.

like I said before panthers should be in the nfc championship game this upcoming year. every game with san fran, hawks have been close. bucs and Atlanta improved but it still takes time to gel. saints is the biggest threat actually.......why? because brees is a prolific passer and Carolina needs that secondary to gel fast.

you notice gettelman got dbs that already know how ryan and brees think...........

you do realize the refs dictated that game by not letting us play physical and sending the message they weren't gonna call poo on the 49ers?

yup, they took our emotion away in the first 5 minutes of the game. Funny how 9er fans forget that. If we were allowed to play the game we went into it with, we might have had a better chance at the win. but hey the NFL wanted the 9ers to win...it was to plain to see that.

What? It's not like it was the only playoff game Roger Goodell went to.

Never mentioned Goodell I just said they made the calls so egregious that the games announcers (who almost always have to side with the refs) made mention of how badly one sided the calls were.

You really have no idea how sarcasm works, do you?

while that was the worse officating I've ever seen, our Panthers had two opportunities on the goal line to score, giving us the win.

I was waiting to see if someone would say this. Refs weren't good, but we didn't play our best game in the 9ers' redzone.

How many times out of the total snaps did they snap the ball with 1 second left?

What were the outcomes of those plays?

Snap count variation wasn't one of my issues with the 49ers game.

Top 3 were:

-redzone playcalling

-lack of WR depth

-lack of Smith's ability to 'win' on critical 3rd down slants (x2)

Redzone playcalling was the big one ... along with the interior OL getting no push. As for the snapcount, wasnt this the game when Bowman tried to jump the play at the goalline.

I wanted to correct myself. Smitty didn't win on 2 3rd down passes just this one:

and I have to believe that a bigger WR running that same route wins based on size/body position...like idk a 6'5 WR?

The other play wasn't on 3rd down and it wasn't Smitty it was the infamous LaFail.

Granted the pass was thrown a lil behind him (cam was under duress and couldn't step up)2h3vchs.jpg

A better WR or maybe even a WR with a larger catch radius makes that catch. Good WRs make that pass a routine catch. Heck you got DBs making crazy catches like this:

Its not too much to ask for a WR to make that catch
