49ers playoff game

The offense needs to make a minor adjustment this year I think. We always snapped the ball with 1 second on the play clock. They need to vary when they snap the ball this year. The 49ers in the playoff game picked up that we always snapped the ball on 1 and that helped them get a good pass rush against us. Does anybody think the coaching staff picked up on that in the playoff game? 

When you are trying to milk the clock, as we do, every second counts. But yeah, letting it get to 1 second before snapping the ball does seem kinda silly. We could fool some folks this year if we varied the snap count just a little bit.

We should also tell them to tell the safeties not to run full speed at a wr bc incase they drop the ball and u can't instantly stop you'll get flagged just like mike Mitchell. Man that call pissed me off

If Mitchell didn't him he might've caught that too.

 

Last I checked if the ball gets touched defensive players can contact/hit whoever they want.

you do realize the refs dictated that game by not letting us play physical and sending the message they weren't gonna call poo on the 49ers?

even the announcers in that game had trouble not calling bull on the refs. They made it clear they didnt want carolina to win from thier one sided play calling.

Refs should probably not cheat us out of the game next time too.

No player is inspired when they think the game is fixed against them. The refs executed there plan early and it made all the difference.

 

edit: our team was easily good enough to serve them a poo sandwich if they had waited until late in the game. We had so many guys that could break off 6 pts at the drop of a hat.

Another note about that game that someone else pointed out I think is that we are a physical team and we weren't allowed to play physically. Everyone knows our teams were similar in skill and the refs were on their side. If the nfl wanted us to win we would've

With the lack of depth at LT this year we may be better off taking delay of games.

How many times out of the total snaps did they snap the ball with 1 second left?

What were the outcomes of those plays?

 

Snap count variation wasn't one of my issues with the 49ers game.

Top 3 were:

 

-redzone playcalling

-lack of WR depth

-lack of Smith's ability to 'win' on critical 3rd down slants (x2)

So the refs are why we couldn't punch it in from the one yard line in how many attempts? They were the better team. It's OK to admit it.
