You win some you lose some, such is the case with mid and late round picks. There's a reason why they're still available and that's because there's significant doubt among NFL coaches and GMs that they're going to be impact players at the next level for one reason or another.

Stop talking in fragments, I had to read that three times to understand it.....Anyway I was never high on him. Limited receiving skills, elusive but not fast and frail. Dave isn't the type to hold on to mistakes forever unlike that other guy and we'll be a better team because of it.

For an offensive or defensive starter yes. For a pure special teamer? No, everything below solid in the fourth is a huge miss.

No one is drafted as a pure special teamer outside of kicker and punter. Adams was drafted primarily as a return man, but also as a developmental WR. I mean,he did have 2400+ receiving yards with 17 TDs at Arkansas. He wasn't just a return man. Lots of NFL WRs have gotten there start in the NFL as a return man, including Steve Smith.

Adams was a bet, that failed, at wr with a hedge to at least get a solid returner.

When both bet and hedge fails, you have failed (badly).
