Rockets Asked Hornets For Three First Round Picks For Player

Recommended Posts

No that player wasn't Chandler Parson's... It was Omir Asik...

There is an easy market for Asik among teams with cap space or trade exceptions — teams that can take Asik and send back zero in salary. Houston overplayed the Asik market in December, when it tried to gin up an auction-style bidding war that annoyed the rest of the league.

The Rockets even asked Charlotte for the equivalent of three first-round picks in exchange for him, per sources close to the talks. Per Grantland

No wonder they weren't able to trade him, they were treating him like Kevin Love.

Ha, they be tripping hard.  This guy's salary is way too much.  Houston did this to themselves, with their "poison-pill" contracts, trying to be cute.  Now they pay the piper.  He's a good player and would help some team but not worth 3 first round picks, come on now.

"asked Charlotte for the equivalent of three first round picks"

Gerald Henderson - 2009 1St round, pick 12

Brendan Haywood - 2001 1st round, pick 20

2014 - pick #24

Here you go Houston, this is the "equivalent" of three first round picks, and it matches up salary wise. Lol

Lol, it was probably Portland's pick, Detroit's pick, and our pick in 2015.

I wouldn't trade three first round picks for Kevin Love either!
