The Carolina Panthers had one of the best regular season records in franchise history when they went 12-4 in 2008, winning the NFC South. The Panthers hosted the Arizona Cardinals as 10 point favorites in round one of the NFL playoffs but were stunned when Arizona came away with the stunning 33-13 win.

Carolina was a pretty good team against the point spread for sports bettors. They were 9-6-1 ATS which includes a 5-2-1 ATS record at home and 4-4 ATS away. They were 7-2-1 when Bodog Sports posted them as a betting favorite and only 2-4 when listed as an underdog.

Carolina opens up at home against the Philadelphia Eagles before going on the road for the next two at Atlanta and Dallas. If they are not careful they could be staring at 0-3 heading in to their week four bye week. The Panthers also end the season with a tough stretch. The last four games are at New England, home against Minnesota, at New York Giants and home against the New Orleans Saints in the season finale.

Bodog Life has odds posted on the Panther season win total. 8.5 is the magic number. Also at Bodog, the Panthers are 9/4 to win the 2009-2010 NFC South, 10/1 to win the NFC Conference and 22/1 to win 2010 Super Bowl XLIV.

Other fantasy football prop betting at Bodog has some Panthers included as well. Jake Delhomme is 50/1 odds to have the most passing yards in the NFL, while Everette Brown is 16/1 odds to win 2009 NFL season Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year.

      A lot of these guys probably played QB at some point along the way. I mean, let's be real, if you have a future NFL talent on your little league or middle school team, you want to get maximum impact out of him. That's QB. A lot of them even play QB in HS for the same reason. If you don't have a good QB, then put your best athlete at QB. That's kind of a mantra for football below the collegiate level.

      The OKC thing is annoying. Our mantra has always been that we can't contend because we're a small market team, and free agents don't want to come to Charlotte. And yet, Oklahoma City can field a competitive team. Just goes to show what can happen if you have smart people running things.

      I’ve rewatched it a few times. Impressive.   Rolls out about 5-6 steps, flicks his wrist, all arm, never even set his feet. Flick… All the way across the field from the 47 to the 24… perfect spiral… and dropped it in the bucket for Sanders. That had to of been 40 yards in the air? He looked so natural doing it.  All teams have that play in their book, but when run, it’s so ugly. Complete duck. Uncomfortable.  This guy is a weapon. There aren’t many non-QBs in the league make that throw and make it look so natural. He looked completely comfortable. I hope they draw up more plays for him like that.
