Big Al recruiting Free Agents

At about 1:20 in the video a reporter asks Big Al if he would be thinking about talking to other players like Kemba talked to him last year and recruited him to come to Charlotte. Big Al's response was classic- "Who's said I haven't (already)!"

 

He continues to say that even last year guy would contact him about playing in Charlotte. They wanted confirmation about all the great stuff they had been hearing about coach Clifford. He said he has had a lot of phone calls dating back to the last 2 months of the season up until now.

I just think that is great. I hope Al can bring in someone with a little encouragement. Who do you think he has been talking to? Maybe someone on his old teams- Utah or Minnesota? Hayward maybe?

I'd imagine Hayward is one of the guys.

Other guys that Jefferson has played with that are free agents include Paul Pierce, Mike Miller, Jason Collins, Ramon Sessions, Devin Harris, Andrei Kirilenko, C.J. Miles, Marvin Williams, Earl Watson, and Mo Williams.

I don't think Payton is lasting til 24, his stock has picked up big time. Some people are talking him up as a top 14 pick.

I swear some of ya'll read an article that hypes up a player and then decide that you're all of a sudden some expert on that player and swear they're the type of FA that we should throw a max contract to.
