He actually wasn't bad last year... 102 tackles and 4 sacks.

Those are decent numbers.

It's just that pesky pass defense that he was so poor at.

Even last year James Anderson was arguably one of the most underrated LBs in the league and still racked up a top 10 number in tackles even with a lot of other great players around him.

Definitely not "just a guy".

Pats defense needs all the help it can get... A mediocre LB is better than most of what they have on that side of the ball
