More two tight end sets it is!

Olsen, Benjamin and Williams/Dickson on the field gives Cam three huge targets, on top of Cotchery who is a decent 6'1.   This year's goal is a overpowering run game, and large physical pass catchers.  Think San Francisco, but with a much better QB.

Just a thought....why havent they ever put Tolbert on the line to run that formation. I mean hell, peppers use to do it. Im sure Tolbert is athletic enough to play tight end in some formations.

I'm having flashbacks of the Shockey-Olsen duo from 2011. We had the most explosive offense and Cam set records like it was nothing. I wouldn't mind us getting at least half the explosiveness that we had from 2011.

The only problem is Ed Dickson has to prove that he can return to his 2011 form, he dropped quite a few passes last year.

 

Hopefully working with a guy like Greg Olsen will do a lot of good for him.

Because athletes are different.  Tolbert isn't particularly tall, and his strength is with the ball in his hands running down hill.  The guy has talent, but route running against linebackers who are taller/bigger then his and just as fast probably wouldn't work so well.
