Kap is surrounded by a lot of talent but he has been the X factor in beating the Packers the last two years in very important games. If he develops like he should he will be a thorn in many a teams side, not just GB's.

No doubt, he is a good player. Strong arm, fast, big and strong but having a top 5 o line and a solid receiving core makes him better than I would imagine he would be if he was, say, playing for carolina.

Yeah it wasnt our running game getting shutdown. It wasnt our defense letting up on a free play. It wasnt our defense giving up a 50 yd td run. It wasnt giving up a huge return after kaps amazing td pass. It wasnt the best corner in the league making a great play and tipping the ball. It was all Kap even though he accounted for over 90% of our offense lol.

Nah it was mostly Kaep. I love how you don't mention that had not one not two but THREE 4th quarter turnovers. Thats what cost you the game. Turnovers win and lose you a game almost every time and your defense only gave up 23 points on the road to soon-to-be Super Bowl Champs.

This is why I didn't want to wait until next year to get an extension done for Cam.

 

Wait until you see what the Colts and Seahawks pay next offseason, will be probably even more than Kaep.  Cam is going to get at minimum the same money as Kaep now.

 

Of course we also didn't have a lot of cap space to give Cam a big raise, but it is going to be steep when it does happen

Jeez, I hope Cam takes a more reasonable contract than Kap, maybe closer to 16/17/18 mil per year than 21. The niners are going to be hamstrung by that contract for years. I can only hope Cam cares enough about the team to not lead us to the same fate.

This is why you need a great QB to win on a constant basis in todays NFL. They are paid so much that in some way it will make you play with lesser talent.

Kap won with a great O and a great D, in the comming years, Niners will have to sacrifice something and can Kap win then?

 

I am not so sure Kap can put a team on his back like Cam but time will tell.

The fact is, if your team feels like you have a franchise player at Qb, he has to be paid. Jay Cutler?

Harbaugh loves his Qb, the team loves Harbaugh. He was going to get paid.

Cam will get paid too, Gettleman has been preparing for that and Luke's contract. Don't stress. Everybody, it's summer. Try to enjoy it :-)

He also had the game put away until our D gave up that ridiculous free play. Then with time running down he was trying to make plays with no running game slow receivers against thag secondary on that field. You act like it's easy. It's not.

How the fug are we going to sign Cam/Luke/Star/ with that kindof money hogging up 1 player.

Kony Ealy.  Take away one of those crazyily paid DE's and that almost equals Cam's contract by itself.  MLB and DT in 4-3 defenses aren't usually outrageous as long as Hurney isn't writing them.  Not to mention the RB situation.  I think DG has been planning on this the entire time, hence no long term contracts given to anyone else yet or in FA.

We had to take this approach bro, notice that none of the 11 draft class in the first round have been given new contracts and the good players have had their 5th year options.  I have faith it will work out for the best.

Oh he gets blame. But not ALL of it. There were plenty of other reasons than the only guy that even had us im that game. His turn overs didnt start until after our defense blew it. If they were so great they woulda held our lead and Kap wouldn't have had to force anything. But they blew it Kap had to start making plays with no running game and slow receivers. It didn't work out. It didn't for manning either. Even though he had way more talent and was playing in NY.

and we will see, if these guys coming up on 2nd contracts will take a little less for the team. Can only hope....of course with big money coming their way soon, can't blame them for getting all they can get. Money(obscene money, I mean they are getting a lot either way) or Championships is the question.

some may argue Bowman made a great play and should have turned the ball back over and Seattle would not have gotten the go ahead score.
